"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners." Isaiah 61:1-1 (NASB)

"A bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish". Isaiah 42:3 (NASB)

Our world can be a painful, confusing place, and one can suffer from unresolved pain, prolonged grief, or depression. Many times a person simply needs soul care to work through or process events that are overwhelming.  Jesus is the best and most wonderful Counselor, but how do we apply our faith to these situations? How do we bring the power of God to work toward healing and forgiveness?

My name is Lisa Moore and it's my fervent belief that through a combination of Solution-Focused short term Biblically based counseling, prayer and obedience these questions can be answered. I practice a unique blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Pastoral Counseling to achieve healing and balance in mind, body and spirit. This unique approach to healing is called Soul Care. While psychology looks at the way a person responds to the world and theology looks at the relationship of a person to God, Soul Care looks at the entire person - our experiences and the paradigms that control how we respond to trauma, pain and stress. A solution-focused approach allows one to focus on moving forward and equips the person with the resources and skills to navigate through life.

I have a calling and passion for helping people who suffer to do more than merely survive. When we are ready to confront the negative and detrimental mind sets, when we are ready for change, there is not only hope, there is freedom and joy.
